Samuel Ott is a cinematographer and Steadicam operator currently based out of Chicago, IL. Born and raised in mid-Missouri, he attended the University of Missouri’s early film production program and attained a bachelor's in Business. After graduation, he completed his first short film - during this process he fell in love with the energy and emotional impact of an image and immediately began embracing film fully as a profession. In 2017 he finished filming his first feature film, In The Wake Of Ire. His most influential DPs are Bradford Young, Emmanuel Lubezki, Robert Elswit and Roger Deakins. In his free time, you can find him eating avocados.
