The Les Turner ALS Foundation: Walk for Life
The project that jump-started the partnership between Motion Source and the Les Turner ALS Foundation: this commercial-style promotional video was used to harness awareness, support, and participation for their annual Walk for Life event, one of their largest and most successful annual fundraising events.
The concept aimed to serve as a reminder of how inspirational this day is for everyone. By using a split-screen approach, we were able to visually compare the differences and similarities of a day-in-the-life of two people impacted by ALS: one a PALS (person with ALS), and another who had lost a loved one to ALS. The Foundation requested a piece that excited and energized participants for the year’s walk, but also inspired. We delicately balanced the realities and struggles of ALS, with the reasons behind why events like the ALS Walk for Life exist. Opting out of the use of a voiceover, we relied on delivering this message through the power of visuals and music.
