Adapting a Shakespearean classic such as Macbeth is no easy task, and placing this retelling in the condensed confines of a music video only adds to the challenge. But that did not deter the cast and crew involved in the latest Sleeping With Spiders music video; in fact, it was a challenge gladly accepted by all who were ready and willing to get their hands bloody...I mean dirty...for the sake of the video.

We learned there was a lot more to My Green Mattress than just mattresses. Family is at the heart of this company; in fact, it was owner Tim Master’s daughter who served as the inspiration behind the all-natural line. We witnessed firsthand the attention that goes into these products, each handcrafted with genuine passion, and we showcase that care in their recently-released web commercial.

Budget: no one wants to talk about it, but it is a vital part of the project, both for us and the client. We get it, you don’t always want to share yours upfront, but we’ve come to find that budgets are like opinions: everyone’s got one, whether they realize it or not. And understanding your budgetary boundaries off the bat helps us begin to build a blueprint for your project.

The champagne bottles have been recycled, “Auld Lang Syne” has been played for the last time, and we are back to work and ready to jump into 2017. Are you? While the “New Year, New You” mantra may seem overused, its sincerest meaning rings true. With a new year underway, projects are already being planned, budgets are being set, and if video hasn’t been accounted for, you may want to reconsider.

The past few years, Motion Source has created and shared a holiday video card in December with our network of family, friends, clients, and industry partners. Video production is our specialty, so a video card is the most appropriate way for us to spread holiday cheer! This year, we again embarked on this project; however, we decided to literally “flip the script” with a new narrative.

For the second consecutive year, Motion Source has produced a video for the Western Golf Association, benefitting their nonprofit organization, the Evans Scholars Foundation. Each year, the video premiered at their annual Green Coat Gala fundraising event, which has welcomed golf legends such as Gary Player in 2015 and Johnny Miller in 2016. In addition to these notable names, the event also gives Evans Scholars an opportunity to share their story. This year’s event featured Zack Sielck and his incredible journey from foster homes as a child to Purdue University as a college freshman.

When iMentor contacted us in January 2016, we were immediately drawn to the the organization’s passion and mission: “iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower first-generation students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions.” 

There is something special about the genre of music videos. On their own, music and video are already strong art forms, but accompanying a song with visuals creates a wholly new experience for the audience. And creating a music video like “Ghost” was a unique experience for us.
